OVERVIEW OF THE TRIP.
Kibaale national park is located in western Uganda. It covers an area of approximately 776km sq with over 370 species of birds. This park offers various activities like chimpanzee tracking which gives you an opportunity to see the wild residents in their natural habitat, chimpanzee habituation experience and bird watching among others.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park is located in south western Uganda covering an area of 321km sq and over 357 bird species. The park gives you an opportunity to encounter a number of activities like gorilla tracking, which gives you an opportunity to see wild resident in their natural habitat, gorilla habituation birding and nature walk to the falls among others.
DAY BY DAY ACTIVITIES
THE GREAT APESDAY 1 TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Your English speaking driver guide will pick you at the airport early in the morning and he will give you a briefing about the trip. Depart from Kampala as you drive through the busy and congested city via Masaka and you will have your first stop over at the equator for refreshment and photography. From there proceed to Mbarara town where you will have your second stopover for lunch. After lunch proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Park arriving in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE.
Have an early morning breakfast and then go to the tracking briefing point where you will be welcomed by UWA rangers there after move to the jungle and enjoy the most un forgettable and rewarding experience of viewing wild residents in their natural habitat. Return back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3 TRANSFERS FROM BWINDI TO KIBAALE NATIONAL PARK
You will start your day with an early morning breakfast, after you check out of the lodge and transfer to Kibaale national park via Ishasha and enjoy the great views of the savannah grasslands in Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have a stopover at Kasese town for lunch. Then proceed to Kibaale national park arriving in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4 CHIMPANZEE TRACKING EXPERIENCE.
Have an early morning breakfast and then go to the tracking briefing point where you will be welcomed by UWA rangers there after move to the jungle and enjoy the most memorable and rewarding experience of viewing wild residents in their natural habitat. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5 TRANSFERS FROM KIBAALE TO KAMPALA
You will start your day with an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and then transfer back to Kampala.
