This which is located in Nyabushozi County, Kiruhura District near Mbarara in Ugandahas a lot of wild life in uganda including Zebras, Giraffes, buffaloes, Monkeys and many others. 

Once covered by open savannah, Lake Mburo National Park now contains much woodland as there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. In the western part of the park, the savannah is interspersed with rocky ridges and forested gorges while patches of papyrus swamp and narrow bands of lush riparian woodland line many lakes.

The park has got outstanding activities that keep its visitors always on the desire for more which include; Game drive in the park, boat cruise on Lake Mburo, birding/ bird watching, Nature walks, the unique horse riding to view wildlife, fishing , cultural tours and cycling among others.

GAME DRIVES

Game drives at Lake Mburo are conducted by guides who are designated to make sure everything goes smoothly. Game drives guarantees one an amazing opportunity to see the parks constituents namely the bird and wildlife species.  

Lake Mburo is blessed with several wildlife and bird species among which one may lay his/her eyes on, they include Elands, antelopes, buffaloes, giraffes, topis, warthogs, zebras, water bucks and impalas. Other features to look at while at the park are the alluring beautiful sceneries, the parent rocks and savanna.

FISHING.

The most commonly caught species is tilapia among the 6 fish species within the lake.Other species include: cat fish, lung fish, tiger fish, Angara fish and barbell. The most common fishing spot at the Mburo is Mazinga, for those tourist interested.

 BOAT CRUISE

The cruise on the lake mburo national park equally  guarantees one a view of the amazing flora and founa at the national park alongside wildlife such as crocodiles,  hippos and  bird species such as African fish eagles, pelican, king fishers, herons, cormorants, rare shoe bills and hammer kobs.
